COG SCI UCSD SOFTWARE
Probably the most employable side of CogSci is HCI, (focused on front end software design), where I'd again advise a CS minor. I'm also Cogs ML/CS minor, but I'm planning to head to grad school. I have lot's of friends who are Cogs majors CS minors who are very employable, for example one of them is headed off to Amazon, another to Microsoft, and another to Spotify. If you want more job security I highly suggest you pick up a CS minor. That said Cogs ML does give you some useful skills though I don't think it's actually the best degree if you want to go into ML (probably applied math/CS minor). If your mentality is "I'm gonna get a degree, and get a job because of my degree" you'll probably be disappointed no matter what You need to be thinking about what kind of job you want and what classes can prepare you for it (and internships and projects). I'd say this is true for all majors, but this is more true of CogSci than engineering.
